Hello, lovely reader!
I hope you and those you love are happy, safe, and well. I'm praying for God's peace and love to rest on the world, and on you, too, especially in these troubled times.
I’m sending my email a day late this week, both because I spent all day yesterday travelling back to the UK, and because there’s a group 99c ebook set sale I promised to share. Leaving our Bulgarian home and all the kittens was soooo hard! Our wonderful Bulgarian neighbours will feed all the cats twice a day until hubby travels there next week, but of course, they won’t get quite as much TLC as they did with one of us there all the time.
I am praying they’re all okay, especially Grey Baby, second from top left in this feeding time photo. She’s one of the feral mother’s three kittens, much smaller than the others, and has been a sickly little thing. The last few days before I left, after plenty of feeds and lots of prayer, she started to look much healthier. And not only did she stop running away from me, she surprised me by coming right up to me, rubbing against my legs, and letting me pet her quite a few times. I was even able to give her a dose of worming medicine! Okay, it wasn’t me she was happy to see, I had a can of cat food in my hand every time, but still…. Progress!
And here in the UK, hubby and I have been in the same room, the first time since March, when Tango moved her sickly kitten (who sadly perished) into the Bulgarian house. Thankfully we do still remember how to be together after all that time! Our cats here are happy to have me back, especially Sir Henry Marmalade Podge, aka Ginger, who has stayed by my side since I returned.
And on to the book news, with plenty of free and 99c ebooks!

I’ll keep making weekly suggestions for no-cost Christian ebooks, including new additions to my to-be-read library. 99c romance ebook sets!
If you have a little more in your book budget this week, here are some 99c ebook sets to consider after you’ve downloaded the no-cost books of your choice!
My full-series Love, London set contains all 8 books in the Love in Store series of romances connected to a grand old London Department store (including the stories in Three Weddings), and it’s reduced to 99c in the US & UK only until August 18.
And this one-day-only group promo features 99c romance ebook sets in a range of genres and heat levels. I’ve linked to the sweet, low-spice page which shouldn’t include any explicit scenes or swearing, but as not all these books are clean or faith friendly please choose carefully!
This week's randomly chosen ebook winners are Lou, Terry, Nisi, Beth, and Rita. If your first name or the name in your email address matches one of the winners' names in the list above, reply letting me know which of my solo ebooks (sorry, sets are not included) you'd like as a free Bookfunnel download. You can see them all here. His Tender Mercy and Heart in Hiding aren't yet released, so if you opt for one of these, you'll be added to a wait list and get a copy when your choice is finally reader-ready.
This week's give.away — five subscribers who click any link in this email by Sunday, 16, 2026 will be randomly chosen to win their choice of my ebooks and will be named in next week's newsletter.
Until next week, I'm praying you and those you love are happy and healthy, with many precious moments of peace and joy to brighten your days.
Blessings, and happy reading,
The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose. It will blossom abundantly and will also rejoice with joy and singing….
They will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.
Strengthen the weak hands, steady the shaking knees! Isaiah 35:1-3
This verse is a promise for those who’ve felt far away from God, felt as if He wasn’t listening, didn’t care. I spent so many years in the wilderness, in the desert, in an emotional and spiritual drought. Angry with God, feeling He’d abandoned me.
But all that time, He still listened and He still cared, and when I turned back to Him, I realised He’d been there with me all along. I’d chosen to abandon Him, but He never abandons His children.
If you’re feeling desert dry right now, trust that He is there with you still. Trust that He is waiting to water Your parched spirit. Open Your heart and mind to His living water, and He will show you how beautifully you can blossom again.

Thank you for your beautiful letter. Love the kitten pictures. Our Emmett has a permanent !moving home. God cares for even !little kittens. Sadly I learned today that my daughter is back in jail for child support. How can she pay it in jail? My son Jon is facing relocation. It is a mess. My stepson is in the same mess but he is in the final stage of Aids and cannot live much longer. All I can do at this point is to pray. My hear is broken. Appreciate your prayers
